We host Volunteer Days quarterly in February, May, August, and November on the third Saturday of the month. We typically work on a big project and/or general maintenance tasks from 9:30am-12pm and then enjoy lunch together with Retread staff and residents. Keep scrolling to learn more about our next Volunteer Day.

Retread offers a variety of classes and workshops on-site to our residents. Some examples include bible study, daily reflections, healthy habits, art class, etc. If you have a special skill that you can share with our clients or are simply passionate about developing relationships with individuals experiencing homelessness this could be a great platform for you. Classes can be offered as regularly as twice a week or as little as once a month.
-
Relieve our staff by bringing breakfast, lunch, or dinner for our residents! This option is great for a small group as you will be preparing enough food to serve 40 people. This can be a one time event or a monthly commitment.
-
Provide consistent one-on-one support and mentorship to a resident throughout their housing journey! Many of our residents lack a stable support network as they transition. Help bridge that gap by offering encouragement, and friendship both during their stay at Retread and as they move forward toward long-term stability.
-
Love what we’re doing and want to share it with even more people? Help us throw an outreach event or fundraiser so we can expand our reach further.
If you are interested in getting involved with our mission in any of the ways listed above or have any further questions about how you can volunteer please contact nanette.steenstra@retreadhousing.org
